As implied, a patient’s blood pressure is monitored during surgeries and other procedures. This allows the veterinarian to monitor how the patient is tolerating the procedure and medications if any were used. Fluctuations in the blood pressure that would not be evident without monitoring allows the veterinarian to respond quickly, should the need arise.     [Back to Top]
